First question to you is, have you met this man in person and spent a significant amount of time with him in person? and I mean face to face, not over the phone or webcams, etc. If not, you want to do this first, and you might want to first visit his country if you have not done so, then next, bring him over on a tourist visa to visit you. Internet relationships can be a great start, but the real proof is face to face, day to day.
Also, because these are very different cultures, do a lot of research on the Indian culture, so that you are well-informed. Love does not conquer all, you need to be ready to deal with the obstacles and difficulties, and knowing what they might be will be most helpful to you.
Make sure that he is not just wanting to find a way to the U.S. A lot of Indians want to move to Canada or the U.S., and some will use marriage if they have to, to accomplish this. You would rather be aware of this now, than later.
When you are ready to bring him over permanently, if that is your decision, then you will want to go to the Immigration website and read through the material and fill out the application forms to go through the process. If you need or want help, consult an immigration lawyer, preferably one with a good reputation.

Here is a link that you may find useful.
http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/types/types_1316.html
It is a fairly straight forward process however it is a lengthy one as this category of immigration has been misused in the past. Please be patient and ask yourself if you really love this man or is it just infactuation. Waiting times are high and the whole process many take many months or years . I won't go into details, but have a read through the material given at this link.
You may also want to consult a lawyer, however please ensure that you go to a lawyer and NOT an immigration consultant...there is a difference. A lawyer with a specialization in immigration is your best bet, don't be afraid to ask for his qualifications before you drop coin on the process. Please also remember that the immigration auhtorities have the right to check on you after the immigration process is complete to ensure that the marriage is genuine and not just another scam. For this and the financial reasons I would urge you to ensure that you really want to spend the rest of your life with this man as you will have to jump through a few hoops.
Best of luck and may you life happily ever after with the man of your dreams !

Put him in a big crate marked "There's nobody in here," and ship him to Mexico. After he gets there he can learn Spanish, then he can just walk across the border like all the rest of them do. Then just make sure he gets you pregnant as soon as possible.

If you are truly in love with an INDIAN...marry him and stay in India, adapt the Indian culture and give him the world of happiness rather than uprooting him from his country, coz sooner or later he is gonna miss his country.

To be honest Faye, you won't be faithful to him for long...most Americans are not made this way..Indians are very possessive, sentimental and emotional people...your culture is entirely different than ours...therefore, drop this idea and just be good friends with him...
