I mean Jerusalem IS rebuilding their temple, like it said. The fued in Jordan that's going on is in there, the genocides, and the moon is getting further away. and that's just from me reading 10 minutes of Revelations. so who agrees?

I agree with you. Don't worry about it when someone wants to pick a fight with you for your beliefs, just work out your own salvation and relationship with God. Even if there wasn't proof that anybody else could see, I know the bible is truth, I've felt it when in prayer. Statements like I just made invites ridicule, but it was prophesied 2000 years ago- 1 Corinthians 2:14 "But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."

I had promised that I was not going to write this again as I have done it so often BUT seeing that you are a preacher"s daughter I decided that you would grow mfrom this info. In Jerusalem at the Israeli Museum there is a partition called the Shrine of the Book.It houses some of the Dead Sea Scrolls writtem in the Time of the Old Testament. The portion is from Jeremiah. Before going there I thought the Bible to be a lovely bunch of fables. The scroll that is opened up for public viewing is from the prophet Jeremiah. Next to the scroll which is written In Aramaic are 2 translations one in Hebrew and one in English along side of 2 Bibles in the same 2 languages, The translation from these scrolls is exactly as it reads in the Bible. I know the bIBLE IS REAL FOR i HAVE SEEN THIS WITHIN THE TRANSLATIONS

I agree that their is proof that the Bible is real. I know the Bible real and that it is the truth because some of the things in the Bible have played out in me own life. Most recently, I came close to being in the same situation as Job, although I did not have the serious health problems he ended up having and I did not lost everything that I have, but it sure got me to thinking that I need to be happy with what God has provided and stop whinging so much about what I do not have and what I really do not need.

I do know that it's a real book with information which explains what these people believed thousands of years ago. I don't think everything is a lie. They may have written about things that happened in their lifetime and those things can prove to be true. I think an number of the people mentioned did exist. It's the more far fetched stuff that I have trouble accepting.

Proof that the Holy Bible is real?

We have relied upon the Roman Empire's records of history due to the fact they were and are renowned for their accuracy.

The existence of Jesus and Christianity is recorded in Roman history.

As for events occuring today, yes.

I know I will get flak for this, but I personally don't believe much in the bible... do we have proof, physical proof, that any of this happened? How do we know some guy half drunk on homemade wine wrote this as a book??

I do believe in an afterlife and heaven, definitely, but I never put much value in the bible. Otherwise, women would not be where they are now in life, would they?

It's called a self fulfilling prophecy. Because it's written and people know about it, they make it come true. The reason so many evangelicals support Israel is precicely because they think it will hasten the rapture.

Predicting things like:

A great war
Troubling times

and other generic things will always come true anyways.
