Use ceramic one, but not the coated only. Try to find the whole ceramic straightner . It will be bit expensive but worth it. And does really help building the awesome texture of your hair as well.

Ion Straightners are the best hands down. They straighten your hair really quickly--for wavy hair only like 10 minutes or less and for curly hair just a little longer.

ive had the remmington wet 2 straight straightning iron for about a year now and ive honestly got to say its the best straightning iron ive ever had. i had two before that and they just didnt work for me. this one heats evenly, clamps on my hair evenly and i dont have to run my hair through it more then once. it only costs $25 at target. and the great thign about it, its not damaging. just blow dry your hair abotu 75% dry. then spritz some leave in conditioner in your hair and run your fingers thru it. then use a clip and clip up your upper sections up and just run the straighter thru the lower layer and when you finish let down some more hair and repeat until you finish straightning. its the best because you dont have to dry your hair all the way so you straighten which means less damage and healthier hair.

Oooh, I love love love my Revlon Perfect Hair Straightener. It was $24.99 and it works really well.

Hot Tools also has some really good hair tolls you can only find at beauty shops, but they are a bit more expensive (i.e. $65 for a straightener).

I use Bio-ionic iron. It can be used on clean, dry hair to temporarily straighten and smooth the most curly, kinky, rough hair. I mean
REALLY STRAIGHT and SMOOTH!
It can also be used with product to PERMENANTLY straighten hair.
I've seen it and it is amazing. It's distributed to professionals only
and they need to obtain certification. (One day class).
There is also a Bio-ionic blow-dryer, brushes and other compatible tools to get hair the straightest I have ever seen!

Try a Chi or an Ion. They're expensive but worth it!
