I sometimes call cats "mangy mousetraps." Many years ago, I rescued a cat from going to the local animal shelter. Guess what his name was.... Yup! Mangy Mousetrap. I called him by his last name.

Mousetrap was a good cat, as cats go. He wasn't around long. I gave him to a friend when I thought I'd be on the road with a trucking company, and according to her, he ran away one day. I just hope the rabbit stew we had when I went over to visit one evening didn't include him.

How about if you call her Calico? For a more formal name, you could call her Calico Cat.

Callie - as in calico. My cat started out as Precious but ended up as M.C. which is short for Monster Cat from Hell.

Polychrome was a name of a character in an Oz book. Polychrome had calico on her too.

Butterscotch may work.

It will come to you when you get to know her. I named my cat angus; he's a tabby.......looks kind of plaid- and Angus is a very scottish name. My mom had a cat named Kamikaze because he used to run full tilt into walls.
When you go over names; imagine yourself yelling them out loud; I read about someone doing that with kids names:)

Honesty, Whatever name you want. Usually it will just come to you. My cat got the name Dexter, just because... well, He's a Dexter. No other reason. My dog got the Meatball, because he's a meatball. Does that help?
