Running, reading, listening to music, depending on the stress listening to LOUD music, going for a drive (for me to the beach), shopping, cooking/baking, crafts if you like that stuff - oh so many things =)

have you tried doing the things you love or you hobbies?
you can draw, write poetry, watch tv, listen to music, go for a walk or swim or jog, or do yoga.
you can talk or write or sleep or eat. there are so many thing you can do, it depends onn what the stress is and the person who it is affecting.

Get a CD of tranquil sounds such as the ocean, nature, etc. Lay back on the sofa and listen, close your eyes, and relax.
