Heading to austria over the new year and would like to know if anyone has any good ideas of where to stay in Salzburg. TIA

The official website of the Salzburg Tourist board has some very good accommodation links...also with a hotels map (viewed as a pdf).
Salzburg is a lovely place (have been there twice). Don't miss a visit to Hohensalzburg Fortress.
Buying the 'Salzburg Card' is a good deal for museums and other attractions.

OMG I'm going there this Christmas to attend a seminar. But the only actual hotel I'm staying in is the Hostel. I've heard it's really beautiful.
