From personal experience- no. I took various forms of martial arts for 6 years and was VERY in shape and very into Martial Arts. I was quite the girly-girl and not all manly and muscly at all and always wore dresses and high-heels. One day, I decided to get a Chinese Dragon that was on my "uniform" tattooed on my left leg. Now, mind you, it covered my whole left side of my left calf from ankle to knee. I had tons of guys commenting on how sexy it was, telling me like I was some sort of Tomb Raider tough chick and sometimes the attention was rather annoying.
It is now 12 years later and I am still in shape but do not practice martial arts anymore and have 2 kids. I cannot even tell you how much I still love my tattoo but really do wish I had never gotten it permanently inked onto my leg. My 8 year old son is crazy about it but it is so embarassing to me if I go out in public with a shorter skirt on and other people see it. I feel like people look at me like I am a hoodlum and a bad parent.
My advice to anyone who wants a tattoo is NEVER get one where you cannot cover the d@mn thing up in any season (summer, spring, etc)!!!!!!!!

I think you should do whatever makes you happy. It's your body and all. But there are some things you should consider:
1. It's permanent. Like someone before me said, how are you going to feel about this tattoo down the road? I have tattoos that are only 6-8 years old and am wondering what I was thinking when I got them.
2. You may be allergic to some of the inks. For example, I am apparently to the ink on one of my tattoos and as a result that tattoo is very bumpy...it's unattractive.
3. Some tattoos are sexy, but please, for the love of God, stay away from the one that every other girl gets: the "landing pad" on the small of your back. If it makes you happy, go for it, but I think this tattoo is seriously played out and I do not find it sexy at all.
Good luck.

A tattoo has little do to with how attractive a woman is. An attractive woman with a tattoo is still attractive and an unattractive woman with a tattoo is no more and no less attractive.
I will add one small disclaimer - an ugly tattoo always hurts.

Some say yes, some say no. Personally, I think well-done tattoos that are a unique expression of the bearer are hot. I love guys with sleeves, and those tattoos on the side of the neck. My love is getting scarification done across his back. Very sexy if they look good on the individual .

I konw for a fact that when we see a girl with a tattoo on the small of the back we just crack up , it is so cliche to get the tattoo right there .......if you are going in then go big , or dont go at all ....(imho)

I have 15 tattoos.
Several of which are rather large in size.
I am not manly, or trashy... and I get compliment after compliment on how sexy they are.
Have a nice life being close-minded :)

I have seen so many tattoos that looked out of place. Lots of women get them on the sides of their calves or near their ankles and they look awkward and out of place. I think beautiful feminine armbands or ankle bands are pretty. But a big glob on the leg looks horrible. I saw this girl who had beautiful Panther tattoos on her arm and back. They look nice if they are well placed and well done.

I think a tattoo should be to express individuality. Flowers and butterflys on the small of the back are WAY too common.

Tatoos are ugly if they aren't classy or small. I mean, what about when you're 80 and (sorry if I offend anyone) your skin isn't as young looking. I think that small ones on your foot are very classy though.

i have tattoos and i am hot. but i didn't get the tattoos to show them off or to try to be sexy, i got them because i love the art. not everybody is attracted to tattooed girls. but guess what? not every girl cares, i certainly don't. i think my tattoos are beautiful and i am damn proud of them.
