We were engaged and then he tells me he want to break up, it's not me it's him. He doesn't know what he wants out of life anymore, he still loves, but doesn't want to be tied down anymore. What does this mean?

Well that sucks...in a big way. Then again, you don't want to be with someone who has committment issues and "doesn't want to be tied down anymore." My guess is he met someone else. Whatever the reason, you're better off without someone like that.
You deserve a real man who isn't afraid to commit, not some half wit who breaks off an engagement so he can go whore chasing.

It means he's having second thoughts and needs time to think. It hurts, I'm sure, since you were engaged...but you need to give him some space. He'll either realize that he truly loves you and will come back to you...or he'll decide that he's not ready to get married. Let him decide how he feels on his own; otherwise, he might marry you for the wrong reasons. It's better to decide this now instead of getting divorced later. Good luck and all the best.

It means he got scared. He just had a reality check and wasn't prepared. He probably just wants to make sure that he is on the right track in life so that neither of you get hurt in the long run. Give him a little space

It means that he thinks that it is you but does not have the balls to be up front with you. All of his excuses hide the fact that he is finished with the relationship and just wants to get out while trying to control the damage. A real man who is interested in a girl does not act like this guy acts. He wants out.......let him go!

The guy was probably just afraid of commitment. Or the possibly cold hard fact that he didnt want to be with you for the rest of his life.

It's both...He's afraid of what you want and can't give it to you and it's made him question what he wants out of life for himself. You think he'd have figured that out before he proposed but, it happens. So really, no matter what you could have said or done different it really was him and not you.

it means just what it means; you are perfect, HE is having insecurity issues or something. i know it hurts, but at least he got his reality check before the wedding, and now you two dont have to go through something as sticky as divorce
