I believe in the afterlife b/c this planet is made up of too many mysterious things that can't be answered/explained away. There has to be a Supreme Being and that said, we have to have some sort of hope and incentive to keep going on in life.

I believe Jesus Christ rose from the dead. He vividly described a scene from the afterlife in Luke 16:19-31. Two men appeared to Him on the Mount of Transfiguration, namely Moses and Elijah, the former having died about 1400 years earlier; the latter having been swept up and transported to Heaven in a fiery chariot as described in the 2nd Book of Kings, Chapter 2.
Really, if you think about, if there isn't an afterlife, what's the point? Life becomes utterly meaningless without a continuation of consciousness after death.
"It is appointed for men to die once, and after this comes judgment" (Hebrews 9:27)

Oh I believe it, absolutely. It states in the bible that those that believe in Christ go 'into a slumber in the presence of God' before we are awakened and joined with our earthly bodies to live in Heaven. What is our purpose for existance if there is no afterlife? If I am wrong, then I live a great life serving a 'ficticious' God. No harm, no foul, I die. However, if I am right and you are wrong---I awaken in Heaven with glorious jubilee and you that didn't believe wake up in Hell. I think I will take my chances and believe bc I would hate to find out I was wrong in not believing =)

I believe in the afterlife because I believe the Bible and it says there is a judgment after death and I will either be in Heaven or Hell eternally based on my decision on earth to believe or not-believe and accept Jesus Christ.

Yes there is an afterlife, and it is boring as hell. If you are good you go to heaven and lead a boring existence all through eternity. If you are bad you will burn, and you will have worms. Either way it's not much fun.

I don't because there is none. There is no evidence to prove there is an afterlife.
The after lif etheory came about because it was the the best way toget people interested in religion(scare hell out of em).It was also derived in part form dreams of which ancient humans thought of as gods talking to them.
Knowing what living meant and the perils of life early men designed religon so as to promise a bettrer after life and though igorance, greed, and the pain of simple life in those days people beleived them.

I more than believe, I know, because without it nothing would add up, plus I meditate and have out of body experiences. Imagine taking your five senses and putting them all in a soap bubble, think about a friend and you fly to their house.

I believe more in the re-incarnation thing ..
We will pay for or be rewarded in the next life for the mistakes or good deeds we have performed in this one.
Why? because this is the scenario that sits best with me ... after time spent wondering/wasted trying to figure it ALL out I have given up tying myself up in these thoughts. I guess!!!

I believe! I believe in heaven and hell. If you accept Christ as your savior you go to heaven. If you dont accept his gift..then you go to hell when you die. The Bible talks about the afterlife..both heaven and hell.

Human beings are born with a soul. Although our bodies will experience physical death, our souls exist forever. If a person receives Jesus Christ as his or her personal Savior, they will live forever with Him in heaven. If a person chooses not to believe in Jesus Christ they will live in a place of torments forever, a place referred to in Bible as hell, or the second death.
