You May NOT have lice! You may have something entirely different. Are you itching anywhere else? Do you see signs of other "bugs"? I urge you to e-mail me as even if you do have lice you do not have to use the over promoted chemical cocktails sold in pharmacies. Many times if it is lice, it is easily treated with a natural product called Melaleuca Oil. Melaleuca Oil kills staph, step, bacteria, e-coli, parasites (aka lice and scabies), fungus and candida (or yeast).
Let me know if you see any lesions or other signs other than the itching scalp. I would never recommend puttinig poison on your scalp or any other part of your body.
Used successfully for a number of things over the yerars.
I had what I THOUGHT was lice, but was something much more serious.
Good Luck and Be Well.

I would say you have headlice. Don't be alarmed it's no big thing. You can get this by trying a hat on or close contact with someone who has it already. You local drugstore will have shampoo's for this - Nix is the one I used for my kids who picked it up at school. Also you can get a special comb with fine teeth that you run thru your hair and scalp to get the critters off. You will probably need help checking your scalp and combing your hair - make sure they use rubber gloves and try not to get too close to anyone while you treat yourself as lice are very easy to pass on to others. Good Luck ! Oh also if you want to know more about head lice and see what they look like enter head lice and do a search and you will get the info and pictures.

you have head lice and it is very contagious. Go to Walmart and get Nix or any other brand of head lice shampoo and purchase a nit remover comb (if it is not included in the box of shampoo). Be sure to get all of the nits (dead lice) out of your hair and retreat in 7 days. The shampoo box will explain in more detail. Now, MOST important is to wash all of you bed sheets in hot water and sweep your furniture thoroughly. Check other family members for lice and treat immediately. Head lice is not dangerous, poisonous, or a sign that people are dirty. People spread head lice through casual contact like movie theater seating, winter coats of an infested person touching other coats in a coatroom (like at school), and people hugging one another and their hair touches. FYI...Lice do not jump. Most people think they do but they do not. Good Luck to you! P.S. tell the school nurse. There may be an outbreak in your child's class and that cold be how you got it.

You have lice. I suggest you contact your doctor or go to the drugstore and get RID or something of the like. Also pick up an ultra-fine toothed comb. When you get home wash your hair with whatever you picked up. Then have someone use the comb and carefully and thourghly go through all the hair. The next step is to wash all bedding, clothes, linens, and anything else you may have come in contact with. Lastly, tell anyone you shared pillows, hats, clothes, etc so they can get treated.

Depends on what the little bugs look like. Head lice look like little spiders and they are difficult to kill. I used Crisco to cover the scalp and then a shower cap. It's not very comfortable to sleep with cause the pores are covered but it worked. But for a more thorough examination you should see a medical professional.

Are you scratching the bugs? Are they itchy too? What kind of bugs? If you are not a bug person, this could be a problem.

go to wal-mart or any grocery store that has self-checkout. that way, you wont be ashamed for buying a lice-removal mediction.
or you could be doing some type of drugs that makes you think you have bugs.
