This guy I saw for over a year, recently moved away for a job, told me he had to work on some things, but still wants to keep in touch. I'll call or email him here or there, & he's emailed me a few, but I guess I thought the contact would be more consistant, at least once a week or so maybe. I understand he needs to work on things, but how much space do I give him. I've came to the conclusion that I'm not going to contact him anymore, by email or phone. He'll probably wonder why, but maybe that's what he needs to "miss me" or whatever the case may be. So..I was wondering until he might contact me, what are some ways I can release my stress & not worry about the relationship so much? I guess I'm having a harder time than I thought I would.

well Mrs. fiesty, try and have fun with your friends and family to take your mind of him. If he doesn't really care about you and stay in touch you might need to move on.

I am going through the same thing right now. I work out everyday, drink wine, talk with friends and get out there and meet new people. The hardest thing is you are going to compare other men to him and that's OK- you liked him for a reason so continue to look for those same qualities but in someone else. Good luck- if he is smart he will come back to you and if not then it was not meant to be. I hate hearing that but it is true. Hang in there and be strong especially on the lonely days.

1. Work out

2. Hang with friends to occupy your mind.

3. Find a hobby or learn something new.

4. Get a good book and begin reading.

5. Maybe hang out with other guys? You dont need to necessarily do anything with them, just get out there and meet other people and make new friends.

I know its super difficult to get some one off your mind. I am having trouble myself. But I constantly keep myself occupied with something so I wont have to deal with it all.

Getting over something like that is never easy...hmm...
Well, you could keep yourself busy with work, friends, you can work out.
Whatever you enjoy doing that keeps you busy...^_^
Talk to a close friend, family member who's willing to listen about what you're feeling, or go to a head-shrinker...whatever makes you feel relived.
Once he notices that you're not contacting him that much, he would know that something's up. (Hopefully, you know how sometimes guys dont get it.)
If you're thinking about moving on, then more power to you.
But if this is just a breather, then dont be afraid to breathe...
Good luck mija! ^_^

Don't put your life on hold for him. If he doesn't seem enthusiastic about keeping up the relationship, it's time to move on. He has things to work on; that's fine. However, let him find someone when he's finished 'working things out'. In the meantime, you find someone else.

Pick up a few hobbies. Keep yourself busy. Don't allow yourself the time to miss him. Try working out. It gets out your emotions and it will tone up your figure giving you more confidence about what he is missing out on while he works on things.

Pick up a hobby or something, knit him a sweater? You could always buy a toy...
