Well you can call any Christian church out there. I'd recommed the Catholics, seeing as they're the original Christian church. But in coming to terms with being a Christian, I want to share some words from someone alot smarter than me:

"What a wonderful question! Here is my story; the story of another Jew, like yourself, who had asked this very same question many years ago:

I grew up in an orthodox Jewish home in New York, and several years ago I came to believe that Jesus (Yeshua is the Hebrew way to say the Greek name Jesus) is truly the Jewish Messiah. Believing that Yeshua is the Messiah wasn't easy. I had many, many questions, and I spent months examining the evidences and seeking G-d's answers. During my journey, I constantly reminded myself of a very important verse from the Jewish Scriptures (the Tanakh). The Jewish prophet Jeremiah records the words of G-d, "And ye shall seek me, and find [me], when ye shall search for me with all your heart. (Jeremiah 29:13).

The Jewish Scriptures (The Torah, The Prophets, and The Writings, which make up the Tanakh or the Jewish Bible) paint a very clear picture of who the Mashiach (Messiah) will be when He eventually comes to the nation of Israel. In fact, there are over 300 prophecies in the Hebrew Scriptures, which detail many facts about this coming Messiah/king. Here is just a sampling (and remember, all these verses come from the Jewish Bible):

Messiah was to be born at Bethlehem: Micah 5:1.
Messiah would be from the tribe of Judah: Genesis 49:10.
Messiah would present himself by riding on an ***: Zechariah 9:9.
Messiah would be tortured to death: Psalm 22.
Messiah would arrive before the destruction of the Second Temple: Daniel 9:24-27.
Messiah's life would match a particular description, including suffering, silence at his arrest and trial, death and burial in a rich man's tomb, and resurrection: Isaiah 52:13-53:12.

Christian prophecy is remarkably specific. In detail as to lineage, birthplace, time and lifestyle, Jesus matched the Messianic expectations of the Hebrew Scriptures. The record of this fulfillment is to be found in the pages of the New Testament. As you review the more extensive list of Jewish Messianic prophecies, allow G-d to speak to your heart and your mind as you seek HIS truth.

Interestingly, the Jewish Scriptures paint seemingly two different pictures about the Messiah to come. For one, they talk about the Messiah who will come as the reigning King, who will usher in a period of unprecedented peace on earth. But many verses talk about the Mashiach who will be a suffering servant, who will suffer and die for the sins of the people. For many hundreds of years the rabbis believed that there would be two Messiahs, the King Mashiach ben David, and the suffering servant Mashiach ben Joseph. The rabbis, unfortunately, were not able to see that one Messiah would accomplish both missions.

Christian prophecy was indeed fulfilled in the Jewish Messiah. Yeshua came to the "lost sheep of the House of Israel" 2000 years ago. He came as Isaiah chapter 53 so clearly states, to die and "suffer" for the sins of the Jewish people. He came to the nation of Israel, but was rejected. If the Jews would have accepted His "once for all" atonement for sins, Yeshua would have ushered in the Kingdom of Heaven at that point in history. But the Jews did not recognize Him. Even though they had the Word of G-d in their own Hebrew Scriptures, and more than 300 descriptions of who He would be when He comes, they missed Him. As a result, the Good News of God's Kingdom went forth to the Gentile world, and for 2000 years now both Jew and Gentile have come together in Mashiach, looking forward to His soon return as reigning King, just as the rabbis have always expected.

Although the nation of Jews rejected Yeshua when He came, G-d has always, through the last 2000 years, kept a "remnant" of believing Jews for Himself. I and many thousands of Jews alive today, have received Yeshua as their Lord, and Savior, and Mashiach. We have been blessed with "new life" in Him, and we look forward to eternal life with Him in G-d's heavenly Kingdom.

I know this is a lot to digest. I believe G-d’s Spirit (the Ruach HaKodesh) has drawn you to this information. I pray that you will continue your examination of the evidences of who Jesus really is, and His claims to be the Jewish Messiah in fulfillment of Hebrew prophecy. And remember the words of Yeshua, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." Perhaps Yeshua, the Jewish Messiah, is standing at the door of your heart right now! Consider Him! Open the door and allow Him to come into you!"

As someone who already **IS** Christian, I would strongly advise you to wait until you are much older(at least until you are 23 years old)before making a decision about converting to Christianity, or some other religion.

First of all, at age 13, you are still under the authority of your parents, & until you are old enough to live independantly of them, it is ultimately up to them to decide what religion--or lack of--that you will have. I can assure you that if you do decide to become Christian, while your still living at home, you will experience a lot of difficulty with your family over making such a decision.

Secondly, you are at an age where you are at a crossroad in your life, & should you convert to another religion, right now, you might deeply regret doing so, much later on, & would want to convert back to Judaism or atheism.

Changing one's religion is a major decision that must never be taken lightly & certainly should not be made by an adolescant person.

Nevertheless, I have posted links on both Christianity & conversion, as well as Judaism for you, in order so that you whether you do decide you want to convert(hopefully when your older)or remain Jewish, your decision will be an informed one.

Saved? Saved from what? Don't fall for the scare tactics that christians like to use. There is no hell and there is no need to be saved. Live this life the best you can and try to do as much good as possible. Concentrate on making a positive impact in this life and don't worry about nonsense like heaven and hell.

You seem sincere in your wish to believe. I ask you this: If you don't believe now what is it that is holding you back? Is it because you have a brain and can think for yourself? If so the only way you are ever going to believe is if you shut off the critical part of your brain and stop thinking about how ridiculous it all is and just accept what christian leaders tell you. I think that you would be doing a tragic thing. To ignore what you know to be truth just so you can accept a happy ideal based on christian dogma. But if feeling better about things is more important than the truth, then by all means. Turn off your brain and 'become' a christian.

Hey hold on...

First get back to the basics.

First find out if there is a GOD or not. Then when you come to this fact that there is only ONE GOD, then try to analyze the attributes of GOD. What must a GOD be and what HE cant be.
Then come to the last and most important point. What does GOD want from you?

1) You are lost in a forest, there you see a house in the middle of the forest. you are certain that this house has been built by someone. you may not know who he is but you are dead sure that the house has a owner. WHY?

2)You dont see Infra-Red radiations, yet you believe its existence. you dont see the waves that are meitted while we talk, yet you can feel it. you have not seen a single galaxy yet you believe the presence of millions of galaxies. WHY?

3) You were not present when an Apple fell over Newton. And he discovered Gravity. yet you believe Newton discovered 'Gravity'. have you seen it? Yet you believe in the phenomenon called 'Gravity'.

4) Nobody knows where is the exact location of 'Mind' and the 'Soul' in the human body, yet millions accept its prescence.

If you can affirm all these without seeing them, Can not the whole of the universe be built by ALmighty GOD???

The house in the forest has to have an owner, The Gigantic universe running in precise equilibrium, without an Owner?

GOD exists and HE is only ONE.

GOD cant be born. HE is imageless. HE does not need a son to look after HIM when HE gets old. HE is the Absolute. HE can do anything without everything. And we cant do anything without HIM.

What does HE want from us?
Its simple, since HE is the Cretor, HE wants us to follow HIS instructions. But where are these instructions? They are in the instruction manual. The Quran

The Quran is the last and final message of Almighty GOD sent for the guidance of mankind. All the previous revelations were cancelled as a result.

The Quran was sent to Prophet Muhammed (Peace Be Upon Him) through angel Gabriel. Just like how he brought revelations from ALmighty GOD to Moses, Abraham and Jesus Christ (Peace Be Upon Them).

But as we know, all the previous revelations have got corrupted by materialistic men by the passage of time. It is only the Quran that has remained un-altered since 1427 years. It is a miracle sent by GOD. Imagine a book of hundreds of pages which can be easily memorised completely by millions of people. There are kids as young as the age of 7-8 years who have memorised it completely. The meaning of the word 'Quran' is something which is read and re-read etc. Infact it is the only book which is the most read since 1427 years.

The Quran is a complete code of life. It has scientific miracles, ethics, code of conducts, financial codes etc.

Watch the facts.

If you want to become achristian, then you should start by accepting all of the Bible, or forget the whole idea. Half-herted christians or those who only take the title of "christian" will not be saved.

When you start to pick and choose which part of scripture that you want to accept, then you start to create a god in your image.

To help your process, learn as much as you can about your Jewish background. Christianity came from the Jewish religeon, but failed when it tried to separate from its jewish roots.

If you do not agree with what is in the Bible, then you do not know the truth. There is a reason that God demanded no abortions and no gays. He also demanded other things, such as what is written in the Ten Commandments. I would suggest opening your heart and your mind to what is in the Bible because it is the truth. I would suggest going to a Bible preaching church and talking to a pastor or deacon that can help you understand why believing in what the Bible says is so important.

To become a Christian is a life-long committment. Find a Bible and read the New Testament. Make a list of questions that you have as you are reading. Keep reading the Bible until you find the answers to your questions there.

First, it would be very good to have a Bible study and figure out the basic teachings in the Bible, come to know the sort of person God is and what is his purpose for man and the earth. It is only by really understanding all this that you can figure out what you believe.

If you are truly seeking God as it seems you are He will reveal Himself to you through His Word. Get a Bible and read it. Find a good church to attend. Surely you have some friends at school who go to church that you could possibly go with. It will help you understand more and strengthen you against those who will try to cause you to stumble such as many in this very forum who have already answered this question. Finally, pray and ask God to help you know the truth. Ask him to strengthen your faith. Don't give up. This is THE most important decision one can make in his/her life!

God bless you and keep you and bring you to Him!

The Bible is God's Word. A Christian believes that God inspired men to write those words for us to live by. You are right to love gays, however, if they are committing sin by practicing their homosexuality, a Christian does not condone that sin. Abortion is wrong! The time for a decision to be made is before conception. Once a baby is conceived, it is God's creation and only God should decide when to terminate that life. Can you go to a pastor of a Christian church and ask him to guide you? Be careful to choose a church that does not condone homosexuality merely to gain popularity in society. In order to become a Christian, you need to admit you are a sinner, you need to believe that Jesus is God's Son and that he died on the cross to pay for mankind's sin (including yours), that he rose again on the 3rd day and you need to turn away from your sins and ask Jesus to come into your heart and allow the Holy Spirit to guide you in all the decisions you make.
