I am looking for a nice "sporty" not that typical big pickup truck just the small ones. if you can, please put a url that i can click to look at or get info. about the pickup. i remember seeing a small, nice pickup but i do not know the make of it. it was either gmc or chevy.

A 2 wheel drive Chevy Colorado extra cab with the 220 HP 5 cyl engine will get 16-17 mpg in town and mine gets 26-27mpg at 80 mph traveling across the AZ desert.. Good little truck.

I have a Ford Ranger SC, flareside. Get the 4.0 V-6
Lots of power and still good mileage. I average 18-19 with some city and some hwy. Go to google image. Put in the truck you want to look at. Check this out.

JDM is correct. We did a windtunnel test when I worked for a truck racing team, and found that there is a reduction of about 2-4 miles per tank full when the tailgate is left down. There is no difference in top speed either way.

I would go with the Ford Ranger with the 4.0 sohc engine.
lots of power and fuel economy
