why do people keep saying this in their answers? it sounds dirty to me

If someone tells you to get bent, it means something like go to hell or f-off. If someone says they are going to get bent, it means they are going to get drunk or stoned.

It means the same thing as a four letter word starting with f.

In my using "Get bent" I would be meaning to get drunk.

the only way i've ever heard it used is when someone is saying that they're going to get drunk

Generally it means to become angry, or severely Pissed OFF.
