Rather than downloading extremely huge/slow/may contain some viruses programs go to Start>All Programs>Windows Movie Maker. Under movie tasks, in the left pane, click import video. Find the video on your computer and import it. Drag it into one of the empty squares at the bottom. Then click Finish movie (#3). And click save movie. Go through the following pop ups that ask you where to save it and all that stuff. Then open the NEW movie that you "created" and it should play in Windows Media Player.
