I would have to say , yes. The earlier you start trimming the puppies nails the better. This way they wont fight you when they get older. Although I would try rubbing and touching their paws when ever you pick them up for a few weeks first, this will let them know you are not going to hurt them and they will start trusting you to hold there paws in order to cut them.please be carefull not to cut them to short or it will hurt and bleed ,just as if you cut yours to short. Its ok to be afraid , just remember the puppy is just as afraid as you are. If you don't seem to think you can do it then call your local pet groomer they don't charge to much for this job and they do it everyday. I hope this helped you .

Yes you should cut their nails for one reason they can scratch the mom while nursing and because this way it helps get them accustomed to having their feet handled, this makes it easier for the new owner. Also the longer the pups go without nail trimming the longer the quik grows and the harder it will be to cut their nails later. You can get a pair a nail clippers for small dogs and puppies and just trim the tips, you should do this weekly.

Only cut them if they're too long, which is around the time when they start "clicking" on the floor. Just make sure that you have a special dog nail cutter, which you can get from any pet store, or a website like petco.com. Also, when you cut them, make sure that you stop before the red bits on the nail, which is where it gets sensitive.
Good luck!

i think you should wait until the puppy's a little older but you should just get the puppy used to cutting his nails by playing with his paws or touching the bottom of his paws every once in a while so when the dog is grown he knows what you are doing and he won't get mad.

I would cut them just be careful. It is a good idea to get them use to having their nails cut early. You don't need to cut a lot off just the tips.

When my dog was a puppy I would wait until he was asleep and use a nail file on his nails. If you go at it kinda quiet they won't even wake up!

I don't see why not. Just be careful and make sure to have some quickstop powder ready. Use human nail clippers and watch that quick.

You could trim them. Just use a pair of baby (human baby) nail clippers and just clip the very tip off.

i would take them to the vet to do that. you could hurt them bad. theres a certain part on there nail that you cant cut and if you do they can bleed real bad. I wont even cut my pomeranians nails myself.
