dude my cousin is OBSESSED with these two! personally i think both suck but i prefer for her to play with barbie because at least theres barbie teachers,vets,and stuff like that..but bratz is all about being rebelious dressing like sl*ts and going on dates. and bratz are way more anorexic..omg i cant stand those dumb dolls!

I have 3 girls, and I will tell you this is what I have learned. When Bratz came out, my girls went crazy, and they always liked barbies, but the Bratz looked more like teens than adult women. THEN...Barbie came out with a NEW and IMPROVED line...the My Scene barbies are a hit in my house. No more Bratz. Barbie wins again!!! They always will. The My Scene barbies are way cooler, tey are more to the teen looks and clothes, and they come with these really cool DVD's and CD's that are a hit.

Definetly Barbies! I played with my Barbies when I was a little girl. Bratz (called for a reason!), are promoting bad images about being a girl. Firstly, Bratz is aimed to 7-10 year old girls and they already include skanky, body exposing dolls clothes, Bratz boys and how they go out with Bratz girls and Bratz are not exactly the prettiest looking dolls in the market. EVen Barbie didn't go that bad and exxergated.

You're right about the fact that Barbie is versatille and teaches household and life skills. Bratz are pointed more toward the fashion industry. I guess it just depends on what you are trying to influence to your kids.
If you want your child to explore several activities, I'd suggest Barbie. If you want your child to be a good dresser and don't mind her playing dress up with your clothes, then go for the Bratz dolls.

Barbies... they may not portray a realistic standard of beauty, but Bratz just look like coked up hookers.

I dont have kids or anything but i think the bratz dolls are kinda slutty and they have too much "make-up" on they look like little whores

nicely, my sisters microwaved my barbies. My canine destroyed my action guy (ladies can like action figures as nicely) and that i ended up swallowing all my lego. My formative years sucked.

i have a boy but if i had a girl it would have to be barbies my cousins daughter has brats and like all little girls she stripped her and the thing had a lace thong on that's really an image i want to give my little girl
