if the guy is young and immature then he obviously will just look for 'eye candy' somebody who has looks and a great body. If the guy is mature and older they usually pass that phase and start to look at girls for more than what is on the outside. They might notice how intelligent you are by overhearing a conversation, or notice your sense of humor. the possibilities are endless, but I'm sure not all guys care about looks only, every body is bound to come across that person who is genuinely interested in them for who they are.

Unfortunately, that does seem to be true on the surface, because boys tend to be visually stimulated, if you get my drift. But, if the young woman is intelligent, strong willed and self-aware, there is always the second glance factor, which means that the boy may discover the possibility of a good and interesting friend, no matter what the young woman may look like. To me, that's the best start of any relationship, because you know it will continue and last a lot longer than one just based on looks alone.

Looks do help, but the guy needs to be mature enough to want the person and not just a trophy by wanting the prettiest one. Personally I think plain girls are all right, they seem to have less issues. I pass on the super model type, only good to look at.

well, I don't know if that can really be generalized. But what I look for, is someone who isn't afraid to challenge me. I like girls that will compete with me on certain things, kinda like having a really close friend.....that's it, pretty much just a really good friend, but further than that. That deep understanding bond, that can either happen instantaneously, or acquires over a period of time.
Although, some guys do just look for arm candy unfortunately, so they are blind as to what that other person may be about. But some do discover that over time.

I look to see if a girl cares about things I look for a nice girl at heart but where I'm from that's hard to find.Girls are so aggressive now it's sad so if your looking for a just be yourself that is really the best way.

If he is a good MAN then he wants a woman who is secure, confident, nice, honest, intelligent etc... Good looks is a benefit, once you grow up a bit, looks play a minor roll. Because he/she could be the finest thing walking and be full of crap! Looks can only get someone so far.

looks is only 10 % of the equasion. i use this h+9p=s where h is hotness on a scale of 1-10 and p is personality rating on a scale of 1-10 and s is how much i like her on a scale of 1-100

yes, they are looking for looks, but further all a boy want is some one that's giving fun and caring. the most important thing is a girl must be fun

looks is about 80% of it then hopefully the personality doesnt dip below -30%. so guys will go for a 50% satsification nothing worse than that.. i have higher standards. i go for 60% so nothing worse than a negative 20 on personality

I look for looks, personality, and especially, a sense of humor. It depends on the guy, though.
Have you considered that lots of girls are attracted to guys with money?
