No... this defeats the whole purpose of getting a relaxer, and your hair will undoubtedly break off and become severly damaged. If a sleeker look is what you are looking for, why don't you just invest in a chrome flat iron. A good blow dry with a paddle brush and thermal heating solution, before using the flat ironing should give you extra bounce and shine.

There isn't a reason to relax straight hair, only curly hair.
I suspect you want to relax your hair to make it shinier?
Some salons offer glossing, which can help.
What to do it at home, for cheap? Clariol makes a product called Shine Happy that gives hair a good sheen, espicially blonde.

I wouldnt recomend it, a friend of mind who has straight hair had her hair relaxed and it came out curly and tight. More un-manigable than when she started off, and truly her hair has never been the same.

i have straight hair. and i had it relaxed a month ago. just to give it a sleeker look. =) the advantage of having straight hair is that you get to achieve the look of rebonded hair at the cost of just a relax.. =)

you can do it but there would be no point if you have straight hair. but if you looking for something to like calm down the frizz than you should just put a spritzer in it after you wash it.

Yes they can, but sometimes it does not make much difference. If you're black with straight hair, it will probably not show much. But if you are Caucasian, it will make a difference.
