it is a needle so it will hurt but not for long as the anesthetic will work fast. Here they have a an aesthetic wipe type thing that will numb the skin first for the wimps/little kids that helps (im a wimp too when it comes to needles)

The doctor will use a needle that is very, very thin. I know it sounds weird, but the needle stick doesn't hurt. Unfortunately, the lidocaine he injects will likely sting a bit. The amount of the discomfort depends on where on your body you're being injected- for example your back has very few nerve endings, but your fingertips have many. The good news is that the discomfort is VERY brief, and there are injection techniques the doctor can use to minimize the sting. If you're really anxious about the discomfort, ask your doctor about using an analgesic cream, such as Emla. You apply a thick layer of the cream to the area, then cover it with a non-absorbent covering for an hour or so. This can be quite effective. But you do have to contact your doctor ahead of time so he can get you the prescription, and so you can apply it before your visit. But, seriously, I wouldn't bother with the Emla. There's just a small, brief sting, then you're in the clear. You'll do great!!

i've got had this accomplished two times and it would not harm. you will settle for a close-by anaesthetic in the area close to the place the mole is. this might make the area numb and mean which you do no longer experience a element. you will ought to have an injection to have the anaesthetic, inspite of the undeniable fact that it rather isn't any longer too undesirable - I consistently locate that it facilitates to be chatting to somebody and searching remote from the needle quite than tensing up. Then the scientific expert will decrease the exterior to get rid of the mole. many times they decrease an ellipsis around the mole (think of an eye fixed shape with the mole because of the fact the iris) and get rid of it. They pull the two sides of the oval at the same time and stitch it up. the full technique would be accomplished in approximately 0.5 an hour.

The stick could hurt just a little but a good suggestion is to close your eyes, think of blowing up a balloon and huff and puff until the shot is over. That really will work!

It will probably depend on your pain tolerance. I have a low tolerance for pain but I've had a couple moles removed and the numbing shots just felt like little pricks to me and I don't remember mine stinging.
Good luck!
