In my experience, long hair that has plenty of body with a cut that frames your face will make you appear much thiner. This is because your hair is bringing attention to your face, as well as your neck and collarbone area.
However, a shorter hairstyle will make you appear taller, and in some cases wider because your hairstyle does not draw a lot of attention. Good examples:
Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Lopez and Jennifer Love Hewitt all have wide hips, and all look best with longer hair.
Victoria Beckham (Posh spice) and Kate Bosworth both sport a shorter look because their bodies are thiner than a bookmark.

well, if u are shout and chubby, dont go short! it makes you look even bigger. if you are tall and want to be shorter, a short chic look would look very good! if you wear long hair with a long body, uu will look even longer!
