It is not hard to find verses about homosexuality. The second chapter of Romans is very explicit. Read the latter part of the chapter for yourself. Also the story of Sodom and Gomorrah in Genesis 19 is no secret. Why it is not mentioned in the Ten commandments I do not know. Perhaps because homosexual behavior is obviously contrary to the design of the human body. One does not need a Bible to know that male organs were designed to engage female organs. Men on men and women on women is ridiculous on the face of it. Would you want an extension cord with two plugs and no receptacle?

Who says it's hard to find Bible verses on homosexuality? Obviously, you only need access to a good concordance. Those are available on-line if you don't have one at home. I won't go into listing those verses. It seems one answerer already has. No doubt others will, too.

It probably wasn't in the "Big Ten" as you call it, because the Ten Commandments were given to the Israelites and they, at the time, may not have thought to do such a thing and so didn't need to be told. For instance, if a little boy never hits his little sister, he doesn't need to be told not to hit her, right?

The verses are there and they aren't hard to find. For a starter try reading Romans 1:18-32

Also, the Bible has much to say about all forms of uncleanness

The ten commandments does not include all of God's commands to us.

Perhaps the two most widely abused verses used to condemn homosexuality come from Leviticus.

You shall not lie with man as one lies with a women; this is an abomination.
Leviticus 18:22
If a man also lie with mankind as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they should surely be put to death.
Leviticus 20:13
First of all, the Holiness Code of Leviticus was written primarily as a ritual manual for Israel's priests. Christians today are not bound by the rules and rituals described in Leviticus. (Galatians 3:22-25) If Christians today insist on using this passage to condemn homosexuality, then they are also bound by the other rules and rituals described in Leviticus.

Among other things, the Holiness Code of Leviticus prohibits:

Sexual intercourse during a women's menstrual cycle

Tattoos

Wearing certain types of jewelry

Eating certain kinds of meat

Wearing clothing made from blended textiles (cotton-polyester blends)

Cross-breeding livestock

Sowing a field with mixed seed

Eating or touching the dead flesh of pigs, rabbits, & some forms of seafood

Men cutting their hair or shaving their beards

The Holiness Code also endorses polygamy and requires Saturday to be reserved as the Sabbath. Obviously, it is unfair to use these passages to condemn homosexuality, while ignoring the fact that most Christians do not follow the rest of the rules and rituals outlined in the Holiness Code of Leviticus.

It should also be noted that the word abomination was translated from the Hebrew word toevah and means something found detestable by God because it is unclean, disloyal, or unjust. The term abomination is generally associated with idolatry and the Canaanite religious practice of cult prostitution. (Ezekiel) Given toevah's strong association with cult prostitution it is unlikely that this passage applies to loving responsible homosexual relationships.

It's not hard to find such scriptures, they even say that in the end-times homosexuality will abound all over the planet.
Luke 17:28-32

"As it was in the days of Lot, they ate, they drak, they bought, they built, but the day that Lot left Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. So shall it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed."
Gay people aren't evil, they're just sinners like everyone else. The bible just says there'll be more gay people than earlier times when Jesus comes.

Read Genesis 19 it tells about Abraham, Lot and the cities Sodom and Gomorrah.

It basically tells the story about a city that was filled with homosexual men and they lusted to be with angels God allowed them to live for Abraham's sake if he could find 50 righteous men in the city, and finally the count went down to ten righteous men in the city and they couldn't find any righteous men so it was destroyed.

Neither the OT or the NT use the word homosexual. How Christians are to interpret things depends on whether you believe Jesus or Paul

Jesus: "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill" (Matt. 5: 17). Notice the next verse, "For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled" (vs. 18).

Per Jesus all the old laws apply, not just the 10, but the laws of Moses as well. Jesus lived and died by Jewish law. Most of us have no idea how to interpret Jewish law, it is not as cut and dry as you think.

Paul: The law was only a "schoolmaster to bring us (Jew, dm) unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith" (Gal. 3: 24). "But after that faith is come," Paul continued, "we are no longer under a schoolmaster" (vs. 25). Paul warned regarding any who would attempt justification by the Law of Moses. Hear him: "Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace" (Gal. 5: 4). One cannot be saved by a system of meritorious works that seek to earn salvation and by grace at the same time (Rom. 11: 6).

Per Paul the old laws do not, Paul came up with new laws.

It is not hard to find. It is in the BIG TEN. Adultery, No. Seven. If you are not married and lust it is adultery. Jesus made it clear by saying that whoever looks with lust has done it in their heart. Hope this helps. Get you a John MacArthur study Bible. They are awesome. Mike

Way to go Gods child, you desided to only put up a few I see though.

Its not hard to find.
Yes its a big deal, just read all the verses on it, and around it, they all give the same reasons, It saddens God, Its a sin, and will only bring ruin (in one form or another)

Who said adultry cant be with somone of the same sex?
Jesus said, if somone looks at another with lust has commeted adultry with them in their heart.

Adultry is one of the top 10. so if looking with lust is a sin, then wouldnt acting on it be a sin too? (it would)

And Im not reading into anything, its all basic. God made it simple for us. Sin is sin.

There is more than 600 commandments in the bible. Verses about homosexuality is in the bible in both Testaments. Being gay is a big thing to God. It perverts His design. Homosexuaity is not normal it is a choice.

Rom 1:24-27
(24) Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves:
(25) Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshiped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
(26) For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
(27) And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.

Lev 18:22
(22) Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

Leviticus 18 speaks of all the commandment about sexual immorality.

To ÜFÖ,

The bible also says that it is wrong for women to lie with women.

Rom 1:26-27
(26) For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
(27) And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.
