Something is weird about my cat now. His stomache got exceptionally big this past 2 months, and I suspect it is overfeeding. Well, I cut down his foot from twice a day, but it is still rather large. Also, he has stopped playing and running around like he used too. Last night I looked him in the eye and he looked rather teary eyed. I am beginning to suspect cancer in his stomache or something, I'm not sure till I can take him to the vet.
He is about 1 1/2 years old.

EDIT: Thanks for the responses everybody. I told my mom about this, but she says she will not go through with paying for any possible operation or anything, even though I offered to use my own damn money. I remember when I first got Tom (my cat), he was VERY sick, and we had to feed it medicine and all this, and had to keep him in the bathroom while I was showering because the steam is good for it or something, thats what the doctor said. Well I have some pictures, I kno it wont help much, or maybe. I'm so worried however, and my mom being gay isnt helping.

My Cat got worms when I first got him a year ago, is it possible the worms came back? Even when Tom got worms a year ago, his stomache did not bloat.

Death bed? I seriously doubt its on its death bed. I mean, whenever I go to the kitchen, it loves to come in and start begging for food. Its not like hes immobile or anything, its just that his stomache got really fat 2 months ago. Now that I think of it, thats when my dad got back, its possible he has been over feeding it.

What a beautiful kitty! You really need to get him to a vet as soon as possible. If your Mom was willing to spend the money to get him well as a kitten, surely she would be willing just to take him to a vet to get a diagnosis. Just don't stress to much over his diagnosis until you get one from your vet. It could be any number of things, some more minor than others, but you won't know without a visit to the vet. Longer haired cats like your kitty can have major build-up of hair in their stomachs from all the licking and grooming, or a bad case of worms could be the culprit. Either way, a trip to the vet will give you the information you need and get Kitty on his way to feeling better.

You should take him to the vet immediately! It might be a growth in his stomach, or it could be an obstruction of some kind. Is he having regular bowel movements? Sometimes with a cat, the hair can cause a partial obstruction that can get bigger over time. The more they groom and eat, the bigger the obstruction gets until it won't allow the digestive tract to move anything at all. It normally causes vomiting before that stage, but in this case it might not be big enough yet. There is also the possibility that he ate something that he shouldn't and it could be causing the interference. Whatever it is - you should take him to the vet right away! Waiting could be fatal!

PLEASE take him to the vet ASAP!! Not to scare you but this happened with my male and I assumed getting fat as well until one night he got into a huge coughing fit then vomited orange phlegm. Off to the vet we ran only to have to put him down a couple of hours later. Cancer and the coughing ripped his lung. Surgery would have killed him, nothing we could do but allow him to stop suffering and go peacefully, we caught it too late. Please don't let this be the fate for your cat as well. Even if it's not cancer, don't ignore this! Good luck!
**Adding - What a beautiful cat!! Call your local humane society and ask them where you can turn for help. Depending on how old you are, you amy be able to take the cat yourself even if it's just for an evaluation. In Indiana you only have to be 16 to take your own pet to be seen and the humane society will help out. I can't believe your Mom won't even let him be seen... that is so sad!! I am so sorry!!!

I hope that when you got your cat he was cleared of FIV or feline leukemia. Those are scary diseases. FIP is a totally fatal disease.
That's scary enough and he is probably too young to have developed cancer so you can cross that off the worry list.
Obviously you need to have a vet do some diagnosis for the problem causing his symptoms. Hopefully it will be treatable. Please don't delay with this. Your kitty needs your help now.
The best possible diagnosis is worms which are easily treatable.

via the time you grow to talk a transformation on your cat's habit the cat has been in misery for somewhat a while. No thank you to tell what's incorrect of direction, vomiting is a symptom of many stuff, possible poisoning. The diagnosis needs to made via the veterinarian. To do? flow outdoors and get the cat into the homestead. Take the cat in to the veterinarian ASAP.

Take him to the vet. Now. This week. Your vet can at least do tests, and once you find out what the problem is and how much treatment will cost, then you can ask your parents (including Dad, who seems to be overfeeding) if they are willing to help you pay for this.
And perhaps you can use any Christmas/Hannukah money you get to pay for surgery.

With a cat that young, it does sound like something is up. I'd take him to the vet to get it checked out. That way, if something is serious, you can catch it early.

To many possibilities. Maybe he his kidneys are crystalozed and he can not pass water.. Maybe he has a twist in his intestines and he can not expel solid waste...Maybe he has a hairball that he can not regurgetate.....In any case it might not be too serious so take him to a vet while you can.
