One of the big problems with religion is the timeframes involved.
Geologically, we can trace things about 4 1/2 billion years back, compared to religions paltry 4 1/2 thousand or so...
I guess thats only a factor of a million so some would be happy, but will the story change as science progresses, or will mythology become irrelevant?
The premise of the bible is to start with some unbelievable stuff- like the people living 900 years and stuff. A bit like a kids story...for example- an old lady that lived in a shoe... this sets the scene that the following story is going to challenge reality.
And then the circular justification that the bible must be true because it says so in the bible... But to be fair, all religions are the same, a set of moral guidelines for the feeble.
I just wonder how they will change to suit what we already know...

What men did a million years ago, the same things they are doing today, except the method has changed, otherwise they are more or less the same (think in the broad sense).

Earlier a male would go to another women (someones wife) and forcefully bring her and have sex

Today the base is same, the method is different, she would be given expensive gifts or something she desperately wants like a oven or washing machine PC etc. she would be provided in return for sex.

In both case the motive is same.

The Bible is edited/modified by a recluse group, who keeps changing as per the weather, depending upon incidents that have taken place.

IF U REALLY WANT TO KNOW THE HARD FACT,IN HINDU, AN EPIC WAS WRITTEN MORE THAN 5000 YEARS BACK. TILL TODAY NO VERSE HAVE CHANGED AND WILL NEVER CHANGE, BECAUSE IT IS COMPLETE. ADDING/REMOVING ANY PARA (VERSE) WILL MAKE IT INCOMPLETE.

THE ONLY CHANGE THAT APPEARS IS ITS INTERPRETATION, BECAUSE TO MAKE THE MODERN PERSON UNDERSTAND THE CURRENT TOPICS SUBJECT IS USED.

In case u can get access to the book Please Read with the Transliteration, meaning and then interpretation, u will definitely find it very very useful. Even if u r able to implement any para(s) u will find yourself elevated. - Just give it a try.

In India millions of Europeans/Americans/Australians/other Asians have found it a lot of satiety

It's already said that one day in Biblical times could equal millions of years. I pretty much gave up arguing fiction when I realized that no matter what, there's always an answer. For example: He works in mysterious ways, the mind of God is like foolishness to the mind of man, it's okay if you're a sinner as long as you ask for forgiveness and accept the doctrine, God put the dinosaur bones on earth to fool us and test our faith, and so on. People will put their own religious spin on anything and everything because the alternative would mean that they don't "get" and afterlife. This is something people will refuse to accept, and for good reason - nobody wants to die and everybody wants to see their deceased loved ones again. The thing is, if it were proven beyond a reasonable doubt that this life is all you get, maybe people would be better motivated to do something with their life instead of looking forward to an afterlife, if any there be. Apple pie in the sky.

They will always exist in some form. Whenever a fact is discovered that might possible disprove something written in one of the holy books, the religious leaders will think of some way to explain their way out of it. The religions are written in such a way that that's possible.

The return of Christ is a good example. Remember how all those events were supposed to start happening in 2000? They didn't. Then you started hearing all the excuses: "Well, God needs more time to convert everyone." "Well, technically Christ was born in 7 AD, so it'll really start happening in 2007." "It began in 2000, but you won't really notice it happening for a couple years." Now religions are clinging to all sorts of new dates, especially 2012. When 2012 comes and goes, they'll latch onto some other explanation. It's a never-ending cycle; they'll never concede.

Yes, they will change. History itself tells us this. As humans become more advanced, the religions will have to follow suit. At least Christianity will have to change, because how long will people wait for Jesus to come out the sky? Sooner or later people will have to look at it differently.

Hopefully, by the time all people realize what religions are, there will be a greater truth that none can deny which will keep the feeble (as you call us) people "moral".

St. Paul, in his First Letter to the Corinthians, explains how it will be when we are made immortal and taken to heaven.

He says the power of sin is the law.

In other words, if you have "religion" and you follow all the rules without true faith, sin is actually made more powerful.

Religion will change, yes.... in an instant, at the last trumpet... according to St. Paul.

(I Corinthians 15:50-57)

I think you've missed the point of religion. Religion is not about science, and only tangentially about history. It is mainly about the meaning of life, values, how to treat others, how to deal with the pleasures and pains of life, how to view the universe, how to live well.

In the future we will look back at Christians and all the other popular religions just as we do to the Pagans and Egyptian religions today.

here's the thing
the Bible will never change
People's interpretation of it will always change! Witness the evolution of the "acceptance" of gay marriages, common law unions, sin with immunity, self satisfaction etc etc.

Religion is man made - so of course it will change.
