Would you rather want a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT (V6 200hp) or an Acura RSX Type-S (V4 i-Vtec, 200hp).

I'd go Acura for the better interior, better resale value, better aftermarket parts availability, better transmission, better reliability, and imo better engine. The Mitsu is heavier and not as fun to drive, but they are both decent cars.

RSX for overall performance, resale, and reliability. Nobody's done a better job of those three things than Honda/Acura for 20 years. Styling's a different story.

V-6 engines are built in such a way that they are more difficult to work on than V-4 engines. That is all the facts I can offer you here.
No car lasts forever. It depends on what you want the car for and how long you wish to keep it.

Accura, hands down. The Mitsu is a tin can and will be dead about the time that the Accura is broken in.
