Take an Ibuprofen about 30 minutes before you arrive for the piercing. It will help with swelling and discomfort. The process is really quick and its basically over before you realize any pain.It will be mildly sore for about a day.You MUST keep it clean with salt water and move the jewelry at least 4 times a day.Do not wear make up or moisturizer for at least 4 days.If you notice signs of infection(redness, puss),go to you piercer immediately to have it removed and then to your doctor for antibiotics.Good luck.

Like the blazes, but really briefly. It hurts for the three seconds it takes to poke the hole, and then it hurts for the three seconds it takes to put the jewelry in. After that, it's just a bit sore. Take a friend in with you and hold their hand.
It hurts worse than getting your ears pierced because of the cartilage, but less than burning yourself on the stove. Oh, and good call about getting it done with a needle. Never use a gun on a cartilage piercing.

Let me put it to you this way. A few years ago I had an infected pore in my nose and the doctor had to cut it out. He had to give me a shot to numb that small area of my nose. He used the thinest needle available, a 30 gauge needle (the higher the number, the thinner the needle, a 27 gauge is thicker.) All I can tell you is that it was painful! As soon as the lidocaine kicked in, I couldn't feel anything, but when he stuck that needle in, ouch.

I would hope it's being done with a needle and not a gun.
Honey, if you have a low pain tolerance, that's just how you are, and nothing we can tell you is going to change that.
Yes, it will hurt.
It's a needle being pushed through skin.
Take some Ibuprofen afterwards and hopefully that will help with any pain or swelling.
Good luck.

good luck and don't worry if it does hurt and get infected coz when u get rid of it u wont even be able to tell their was a hole their once after a while....and the hole does close fast so Neva leave it out for hours or days

I got my nose pierced about 2 years ago. Here's what got me through it. I had a good friend who wasn't squeamish come with me. You have your friend keep you talking about insignificant things so you wont get nervous. Then the guy preps you and sticks the needle through. It hurts like hell for about 4 long seconds and then its over. Your nose may be very slightly sore, but it only hurts for those 4 seconds.

Ok...what part of your nose? The outside or your septum??? If it's the outside, it doesn't hurt. But don't ever put a nose screw in because it really hurts. Stick to bones or studs.
oh and NEVER pierce ANY part of your body yourself. and NEVER drink alcohol before getting a piercing or tattoo. Alcohol is a blood thinner.

I somewhat felt getting my nostril pierced. usually I also have a low discomfort tolerance, working example, i presumed that obtaining my ear cartilage pierced somewhat, somewhat harm. yet my nostril substitute into effective. while the needle went with the aid of, my eye teared up, and then the piercer positioned the jewellery in. i did not experience any discomfort. solid success!
