IF I were you, I would take a piece of cardboard (about the size of a piece of letter-sized paper), paint it the same color as your wall color -- and let it dry.

Once it is dry, then take it to your favorite furniture store, and start putting it behind the furniture that suits your fancy or tastes. That is the best way to determine which furniture you feel is going to look the best with your wall color.

The way I decide on a color for my wall is by taking a trip to Lowes and picking up paint swatches. You can take as many as you'd like since they don't cost anything! Most of the time I already have an idea of what color I want put its the hue I am not sure about. I sit in the room I want to paint and tape them to the wall so I can see how the furniture and light work with the swatch. The best thing about painting is that if the color doesn't work you can repaint! I would keep the wall color light since you have dark furniture

I favor dark wood with this color and stainless steel accessories for a modern look, or white with soft colors for a more shabby chic. Asparagus is almost a neutral color, you can do just about anything with this color, depends on what t decor style your going for

You want to stick with earth tones for the major furnitue like couches, loveseats, chair. Choose brown, beige or off white. Then you can accessorize with flowers, candles, throws, rugs, lamps in orange, yellow, red or even shades of blue.
