its just a ring, prolly one she's had for a long time. It doesn't mean she is married. Of course you can still talk to her. Maybe sometime say something like "thats a beautiful ring." She'll be happy you even noticed.

Never heard of it meaning anything. I used to always wear one on my left hand before I got married so I could have a ring on both hands. Now, I wear one every so often...mostly when I'm dressing up. I wouldn't worry about it.
