don't compare Ramadan with Christmas, the former is 30 days of hard fasting and the later is only one day. But you can compare Christmas with (Mawlid) the celebration for Mohammed's birth which is only one day and usually fun.

You should seek forgiveness from God and submit yourself to him so your afterlife is happy. Turns towards God he will increase you in wisdom and save you for a terrfying, horrible afterlife (By his Will). Turn away from the fire and seek to do ggod works and actions for the Lord of All the Worlds. You will return to him, so submit to him for guidance and to purify your heart.

ramadan is the happier one---you get to fast all day, every day. eat a bite at nite. no sex.
add that to NEVER getting any pork or beer and its a FRIGGIN BLAST AT RAMADAN TIME AT MY PLACE!!!!!
