If convert an .avi file that is 800mb to DVD how many Gb will that be?

I use VSO converter!

Impossible to say as there are a LOT of variables when converting, including bitrate and resolution!

Though if you used VSO ConvertX2DVD then it should come out about 3 GB if you don't change any settings.

DVD is a disk not format. If the .avi file is uncompressed and the format you are putting on the DVD is also uncompressed then it will be around 800MB.
