It is impossible to save someone who doesn't want to be saved. I kinda think our guy didn't want to be captured. Personally, I'd like to bring all our troops home, and let the Iraqi's settle their own mess. Perhpas Saddam should have been left in place.

I wasn't for the war to begin with, but I saw a lot of Iraqis celebrating in the streets. Then I saw them looting museums and now they are killing each other. The way I see it is, if the Iraqis want security, they need to start in their own neighborhoods.

they moved quickly because that one guy is like a brother to the rest of the soldiers and it depends what type of Iraqi your talking about is it a mom, kid, Saddam, granny, terrorist, if its a normal Iraqi who has no intention of doing any harm to an American then no that life is not more valuable than the American but if its an Iraqi who is out to kill our troops and his people all at once then no his life isn't worth anything so kill all of his kind.

all human life is valued in my eyes no matter where you live.the situation in iraq is so sad.
the purpose of our going into this country was to oust a leader, which was done long ago so, iraq could chose there own goverment, live in a manner in which, the iraq people seen fit, but that has yet to happen.
the country is a mess, people dying daily..when is it time to say enough???
you are right, everyday you will hear about american soldiers dying, but who is telling the story of the iraq people dying everyday??
they are as important, there life is as valuable as anyone elses.
so many people have died for no reason, where is the justice for them???

the living conditions are unbearable, and on top of this the sunni and shite people are fighting amongst themselves. in a time when they should be pulling together to bring there country back together.
my prayers with everyone in this struggle..

Yes that's right.
It is exactly what I would have done.
And what about all the kidnapped Iraqi's that we got back from their corrupt police chief.

Well, if your thinking of just # of lives, than the U.S. one is pretty screwed. But if you are thinking of the overall good of the people that they would/will affect, then the Iraqis are screwed.

Yes, super-power has its benefits, most 3rd world countries dont give jack for one of its own, especially in the middle east (with the exception of Israel of course), middle eastern countries dont give jack for their citizens, thats why they are big on human shields and sending in children and grannies to act as splodey dopes (suicide bombers). In the west, we value life. Hence we move heaven and earth to find one down soldier or airman.

Who decides which life is more important than another. It isn't me thank goodness. That isn't a decision I ever want to be in charge of making. To me one life is the same as another. If you kill them both, will one die differently than the other? Will one bleed differently then the other? No, because they are both the same.

No one person's life should be more important than another.
