If another is angry with you, for reasons beyond your grasp,
Should you sit at idle, your hands in a tight clasp?
Or should you just tell them they're full of it,
For becoming so mad at you?
No forethought of how ignorant it was,
To become so ticked at you?
When all you tried was to be there for them,
While they were there for you for their own use,
Should you mingle and try to trust yet another?
Or go off on your own, be recluse?
No matter how hard I try to refrain, from the company that ails me so,
As I try to be social, and become acquainted with people,
That river refuses to flow.
My circle of friends has a pattern,
Involving those who'd like you to lose,
Blood as you fight for your honor,
For their love, you must gain a bruise..
As I contemplate becoming a cave-dweller,
No electric, no couch, No camode....
All I ask is for some intellectual responses,
Just opinions to lighten my load.
>>Wow, the messes I get myself into! I'm too old for this crap!

I have found over the years, that sometimes pulling back from the group to find yourself is very important.
Rather than loosing yourself in the pack..
Keep true to you.. you can still be with people but most importantly be yourself.

I have also found while in school years, i mixed with a few different types of friends.
Some tough kids, middle of the range kids, and Nerdy kids.
I seemed to get on with all of them in my own way.

A few really touched me but it was the Nerdy kids that i found (even though i didnt think so at the time) were true friends.
Everyone else seemed to what to prove stuff.
or what stuff proved to them.

I took time out of social life for about 2 years in my adult hood to find me.. no going out or parting with friends.. i have been there done that.. not much im missing .
but finding me and who i really am.. what i really like.
As simple as, whats my fav color.. is it really my fav color or am i just conforming to others programed likes and taken them on myself.
So as you see.. some deep inner look to find who you are.

I did my work with a mirror.. slowly take each part of my face and looking at it.. what i liked or didnt like. looking into my eyes.
seeing what others would have seen while looking into my face.
Anything and everything that comes to mind.. gets delt with instead of pushed to the side..
This is very indepth work. and every emotional work too.
but i found it so rewarding afterwards.

always remember to be yourself and love yourself.

Blessings.ALD
