I am aware that there are many jobs within DEA but my question is, do all special agents of DEA have to go undercover or is it almost a voluntary thing? Do the smae guys that conduct the raids have to go undercover too? Thanks for your answers.

It is a voluntary thing. Being undercover is far too stressful to have someone there who doesnt really want to be there. It is better to have someone that is motivated to do that.
