I'm 26 and all of my boyfriends have ended up being messed up in some way.. After evaluation I decided that I'm not going to sit and be chosen anymore(all of them were the ones who approached me first), I'm going to do the choosing since the common denominator in all of those losers was me!lol! But at the same time, I don't want to approach a guy because I want to know that he's attracted to me..
So, recently I spotted a guy that I'm interested in and I happen to know a friend of his. Instead of asking my friend to hook us up, I asked him for his email address for music lessons(he teaches it on the side). Once I got his email, I told him I wanted to purchase a music lesson from him for my little cousin bc she has a crush on him. Yes, I'm really 26!(i know that's childish) I just, couldn't think of a better way to meet him without putting myself out there. Is this incredibly immature and deceptive? What should my next move be.. Please be kind you guys..

I'm really interested in this man because he's totally different from the others I have dated. For once, he is on the same educational level as I am(he's in med school) seems like a very laid back yet serious person..

Well he sounds intelegent enough to see through any of your deceptions, so I hope this would be the only one.....You need to act your age and try and win him over with your charm and charisma.....dont try to trick him or deceive him to like you, as this could only lead to dissapointment....Try being straight with him, you are both adults, just come out and ask him out, then take it from there.....Besides, you cant tell how someone is just by looking at them, he might not be all you want him to be and visa versa......Remember honesty always pays in the end.....But lies always find a way to come back and haunt you... That's cute! I probably would have done similar in that situation... Guys are sooooooo complicated... I hate to wait and be picked but I don't want to go ask him first cuz he might say no! Common problem...I know exactly how you feel. I think you should just show up and be cute! He'll like you or he's a jerk.

Well, I don't know. It does strike me as rather deceptive and childish for someone twenty-six and in med or grad school. I guess it will do for an opener, but now it's time to be more straight and mature. No wonder you draw such loons.

no offense but thats pretty childish. but ive done stupid things like that too, i understand. if i were you i would just say your cousin got another teacher, then ask him to go to lunch or something. if he says no, hey, you probably wont see him much. you might as well take the chance. good luck
