Let's say you are person A and person B can't stand you. Person C doesn't like you much either. Person C will however cooperate with you to take down Person B. Person C may just be an accidental ally but you could get lucky and turn Person C into a friend.

Have you been watching Alien vs. Predator? I love that movie!

It means that if Person A is the enemy of Person C and Person B is the enemy of Person C, then Person A and Person B are friends.

The idea here is that, if we both really don't like a person, then we have something in common. If we're going to try to get that person, maybe we should help eachother.

Iran is the enemy of the U.S.
England is the enemy the U.S. enemy, Iran.
If both the U.S. and England are enemy's of Iran chances are they are friendly with each other.
Of course The enemy of my enemy could also be my enemy.
In today's world that phrase is meaningless.

Well... If you do not agree with someone and they don't agree with someone then it is a distiunct possibility that you might agree with that person. I am a Christian and believe that we should have no enemies and thus we should attempt to be the friend of everyone. Make sense??

Ok lets say this:

Bob does not like Jack, and John does not like Jack either. Because two people dislike the same person they have something in common, which makes them friends.
