Hell no.

dating is for finding a mate, and no one ships their underaged daughters off to get married in the states.

This time is for schools, social development, and the mastering of friendships. Wait until she's older to start that mess.

I think we need more information. Personally I think that 12 is still a bit young but I would definitely let her start socializing with boys - perhaps on group dates...*if* she is responsible. If her school work is not up to par or she isn't being a productive member of the family, all bets are off..but my cousin got pregnant at 13 and had a baby at 14 and to this day she says it's because her Mom was too strict and didnt' allow her to socialize with boys--so she did it anyway--behind my Aunt's back and Brandon was the outcome. Don't get me wrong..I feel for your uncertainty. I have two girls myself--but lucky for me..they are only 16 months and 4 months so I have a while before I have to worry!

Good luck!

12 is so incredibly young for this kind of thinking. Perhaps there could be group *events* such as events with cool parents or young adults. Trust me on this, these are the years you should be helping them with SOOOO many areas of their life. Father Son stuff, adventures, helping others, doing hobbies.

I edited out most of my own stuff so as not to come off too strong, but I have a 6 and 2 year old and I still plan on being a Dad long after they are 12. This scares me that other parents out there even think this way and well thanks it helps prepare me for what my children are going to be up against.

P.S. I take your question to mean you have a 12 yr old boy who wants to date. Either way..

Girls who are not allowed to date until they are 18 are much more likely to remain virgins until marriage, if that is important to you. In my class the first girl lost her virginity in 6th grade (12 years old) and was pregnant by 14. When I drove school bus I saw a girl who was 6 months pregnant in 5th grade (age 11) Now do you really want to send her on a date?

4 years different isnt something in any respect in the experience that they were older yet shes 12 years previous for gods sake. age hollow concerns massive time in this situation. ur bro were given 2 ladies pregnant and now hes going out with a baby who isn't even a teenager? it really is not perfect. in spite of the indisputable fact that if shes mature for her age she in simple terms does not be able of handle it if ur bunny brother receives her pregnant.

12 years old is way too young, I think that kids shouldn't start dating until 15 or 16

i have a 12 year old brother and he has already been with 3 girls.. of course.. my parents say no to relationships because school is way more important.. but in my opinion.. even if you say no to your 12 year old.. most likely.. they will still have a relationship secretly.. i think you should have a really close relationship with your son/daughter about their dating.. if you just say no.. they will keep their relationship as a secret and will not feel comfortable talking to you about it..

Twelve is a little young to be dating unsupervised. Let her bring a boy home for dinner with the family or game night or something.
