I,used to have a pug and it should me weaned before getting baths because it could drown but if it gets dirty and it needs a bath before that you'll have to get some doggy baby wipes or wash it in a plastic container or you could wash it in the sink with low pressure of water coming out and make sure you wash it with warm water and the shampoo you use is tar free and suitable for puppys.

It's best to avoid a full bath for a puppy for the first three months at least, if possible. There are puppy baby wipes sold at Pet stores like PetSmart that are ph balanced for their skin. You can just wipe them off rather than drench them. You could do something similar with a damp cloth.
I have had puppies that I rescued that had rolled in some really bad stuff that I have had to give full baths to and they were fine.

We start giving our pups a bath when their mommy stops giving them a bath. That happens when the puppy's start eating on their own instead of nursing.

Mom raises Shelties and Cairns. She routinely begins bathing them at about 4-5 weeks old, although younger if necessary. When they are younger you have to be ready to dry them quickly and help them maintain their body heat. A good thorough drying is necessary for all puppies.

Mom says the the bigger concern is if the shampoo is puppy safe. Check your label to be sure its appropriate for your puppies' age.

Start now. The sooner, the better. If you start sooner, your dog will not get as angry when you give it a bath.
