Find another roommate as soon as possible. believe me when I say this, as I have been through this and trouble is on the horizon!

Get him some help. I drink every day, but not until I have fulfilled all my responsibilities for the day, and definitely not 20 beers a night. Try talking to him about his drinking. Most of the time, that will have a positive impact. If that doesn't work, pour all his booze down the drain and kick his drunk @$$ out. Serve him with an eviction notice, your landlord should be able to help you with that. After all its' HIS property and he should be looking out for his good tennant's best interests.

Honestly, I would find a new roomate , if I were you..
I have been in a sinilar situation, only I made the roomate move out after attempting to talk it over and get the rules straightened out ( like go to work, clean up after yourself, pay bills, etc. ). The talking and being nice did not work unfortunatly..I felt bad, but you gotta do what is best for you and your life...

I'm one who hates having roomates so my suggestion is to either move out, kick him out or get a new one but the best idea is to get a place of your own

I think that if you can kick the roomate out, you should do that. If you can't do that then try to find a new one. You can always make them stop too.(some how)

Try to kick him out. He has no life and just sits around drinking beer. Or you need to move out.

ERither you move or move him. Don't let him waste yuo also. Give him a choice. Don'ttake excuses or pleas. Just explain you can'tlive like that andd will not.
He's not a frioend to do that to you or him. Don't wait until he burns down the place or kills you both.

Don't drink with him.
Don't give him money & Don't pay his share of things.
Don't do the things he should be doing.
Don't buy or fix him food. Let him do for himself.
Don't let him be hurtful to you or your friends.
If you are in a contract look for a new place for when you can move.
Remember you can not make him stop his drinking. That is his choice.

Tell him to pull his act together, make him look at himself in the mirror and ask him if thats really what he wants to be. If he will let you, get him some help. Otherwise, pack your bags and run, living with an alcoholic is neither safe or fun.
