The issue is all the little women that are chatting away quilting the absobant pouches. Your cat has become their saviour by releasing them from their labour intensive monatenous lives so they may discuss things other than paper towels. I would give your cat a meal fit for a king for doing this, the women are now rejoicing.

That is it, that roll of paper towels tried to trip the kittie when he walked by. Or maybe the paper towels stayed just alittle to long on the floor and they were aggravating the kitty. I know the dog told the kitty that he would get something special if he tore them up. sus04mc@yahoo.com

some cats simply cannot resist messing with a roll of paper towels. The fact that it is THERE is provocation enough for a cat.

The towels had 'Here kitty, kitty' written on them? You can't be surprised the kitty answered, then!
At least you weren't trying to use them at the time. That's when mine would have decided to attack.

your kitty was just having a lot of fun..they love to play..doesnt matter what it is, my cat loves toilet paper and the empty roller..the paper towels may not have done anything wrong, but the kitty thought so..he was on a mission to destroy the paper..lol..

I'm not sure why cats do thins sort of thing other than they seem to have over active imaginations. Maybe the soft flesh-like feeling of the paper towels is what they are after...
...who knows for sure. I do know that it is perfectly normal cat behavior.

Cats like to play depending on the age of ur cat. Even older cats still like to play. So even thro the roll of paper towls did nothing to ur cat, he/she may have just had a spirt of energy and see the paper towls and started to play with them for fun and to release his/her enegy.

Cats love anything they can make roll. If it moves it's alive, if it's alive then it has to be played with until it's 'dead'. I have found many of my cats in the past do that.

Clearly, you bought an inferior brand.
I suggest 'Bounty,' with the 'Select-A-Size' perforations. I suspect he was just trying to improve on shoddy product design. Give him some extra petting for being so helpful
If he continues to display similar talents, you may wish to see if your local college offers an industrial design program for cats.

Cats are playful things they like to take things and tear it apart without thinking about it. Just keep anything that can tear apart out from reach of your cat.
