Don't give in to the strudel kid!! He will not allow himself to starve to death. Really, no one will die without those things. If he is hungry enough, he will give in and eat other foods. If you don't want to cut him off cold turkey (Happy Thxgiving, by the way...) then try to slowly remove them from his diet. If he eats them three times a day, let him eat just two, then one, then none. Or, cut down each serving to just half a strudel. Similarly, with the child who overeats, do this with other foods. Sure she can have dessert, but cut those portions in half. Teach her portion control. Put some chips in a bowl and she can eat them. Kind of as satisfying as sitting down with the whole bag in front of the TV, but you don't feel the guilt afterwards. This may take some time to adjust to. Hmmm, maybe have them watch "Honey, we're Killing the Kids", and that way they can both see that they can eat healthy, because really, isn't that what they should BOTH be doing??? Killing 2 birds with one stone...Be patient and good luck...

get proffesional help and send the chubby one to camp . you should disconnect cable tv so they dont eat in front of it. you are the boss and you buy the groceries. you need to sit toaster strudel person down and tell them they will be seeing a doctor for this problem and that they might have control issues in your home. if your a single mom god bless you and do the best you can

Chose a good healthy meal for them both and sit it in front of them and tell them to eat. I fthey don't send their lil butts to bed without and don't give in. They'll come around . lighten her load and give him the amount he needs as well.
It's probley that he doesn't need as much, and burns it off. A little skinny is lots better than over weight and much easier to control.
Cut their snacks out and make rules you and thme can live with; Stay with the rules.
No desert until they eat the good food. Don't let em drink a lot of sweets, giv ethem water until they become used to eating what you tell them.

uhm you are the parent. They are only picky because you have allowed them to control you.
Only have healthy food in the house. Have all meals regularly scheduled.
You determine how much of what each eats.
If she wants more tough
if he doesn't eat the take stuff away, toys, privileges, etc.
you are the parent, you are the boss, you have all the power.
