Did you see the radar photo of Hurricane Katrina that some pro-life people said contained an image of an embryo? They said that MY community was destroyed because America allows abortion. Could you see how this would offend me? I feel like they are saying that we, here in this community, are evil.
The shot they refer to was of the storm as the eye came ashore 20 miles west of where I live. The eye always gets irregularly shaped at that point, the land weakens the storm.
So yes, they are gonna say this, no matter what.

It happens now. Look how many religious nuts started on about God's revenge over Hurricane Katrina.
Of course, in a case like that, how convenient to be able to blame it on God to deflect attention away from the real problem - that the people were not taken care of properly.
How do you evacuate people if you don't plan it properly or provide mobility? People should have been airlifted out in Air Force transport planes, not told to drive out in private cars (many didn't have any) thereby clogging escape routes and using expensive fuel.
I could go on, but I won't - it angered me at the time and it still angers me just thinking about it.
EDIT: lookn2cjc - you state the Bible is factual - where did you get that idea? Even the most learned theologians acknowledge it is NOT factual.

That style of habit has been a minimum of a small portion of Christianity for the final 2000 years or so. i would be unable to blame them, although, the Bible is stuffed with climate-proper prophecies and mess ups. it quite is difficulty-free to work out why a number of them might think of that way in case you're accustomed to the e book.

yes it is rediculas on how ppl will blame disasters in the world on God punishing us but i also think it's steriotypeing to say that the christians in specific say that. the truth is not all christians beleive that it was Gods wrath and most ppl just think that because of a couple nut cases that ended up on the news.

It's true. If the world were to end due to a natural disaster, then who would be around to preach about the causes? And if it was a natural disaster, how can that be attributed to God if it is "natural"?

You see...that is the 64 Thousand Dollar Question...so to speak...the Bible says something will happen.....it does.....and to let themselves off the hook...those who do not believe in the Bible...say that we Christians are using "spin" to make events correlate with the word of God.... of course it is NOT possible that it is.....prophetic..that the word of God is true and infallible....nothing, including a burning bush scorching your little toes would make you believe what you choose not to believe..hence the irony...either you believe or you don't...it is just that simple....

That not hard to imagine, human beings are creatures of habit, and they have been doing that for thousands of years. What saddens me about some of these religious people, is that they long for the death and destruction of the Earth, because they believe it will be their chance for getting into heaven. This is a dangerous way to think.

Isn't funny that the Bible predicts that when this world is done and God goes to destroy it and replace it wiht a new world that there will be Atheists and Agnostics that will still refuse to accept the proof infront of them claiming that given time they will find the explination for what is happening. I do not mean to be insulting but your opinion was foretold by John a little less than 2,000 years ago and leave it to the Athiests and Agnostics to prove the Christian right.

All you have is this. If the world ended, it would be because it was predestined to end. Read the Bible. I mean think about this, Christians can't manipulate what is already set to happen. The world will end and Jesus is coming again soon.
