this bloke i went out and finished with because he was extremely rude, well i told hiim i was seeing someone else just to get hm off my back, as he was so horrible to me, and then ignored me and then wrote to me, well he keeps writing to me and i do not knwo what for.

Well, tell him nicely that you don't want any more contact with him. IF he can't be polite then you will turn him over to the police, and his isp if he is using it to contact you. They will shut him off without a second thought. He sounds like he is jealous that you have a bf and he is still without. It happens, especially if the one person isn't upfront about why they dumped the other one. Its best to be honest and sometimes even try to work thru the problems. Too many people end relationships on a whim when maybe with a small amount of effort it could have been worked out..

Email or handwritten letters?
If it's email just add him to your blocked senders list.
Do not respond to him at all. You said that he 'ignored' you for a while - does this mean you were still trying to maintain contact with him and he wasn't responding to you? That may be why he's writing to you so much now.
One very last letter saying "Do not contact me. Do not try to call me. Do not write to me. It's over, and I want nothing more to do with you. Should you make any further efforts to contact me, these will be kept on file, and will be reported to the police if you continue in this persistant behaviour."

Completely ignore his letters (or text messages or phone calls). Don't read them or take his calls. Once he realises that he won't get any response from you, he will stop. This may take some time and a bit of self control on your part but it will work.
If it doesn't then you might consider contacting the police, but most likely that won't be necessary.

hey,
it is beginning to sound like harrassment, so if he doesn't stop,then you can go to a lawyer and get an affidavit stopping him from coming within a certain distance of you, your family or your home or work premises.
affidavits are also known as interdicts.
hope this helps, or alternatively just slap him up side his head and tell him to get a grip

Just make it very clear that you are no longer interested in him and that you wish him to leave you alone. if that doesn't work, take legal steps to stop him.

ignore him completely if he doesn't leave you alone then see your police cos he sounds creepy and obsessed with you. he obviously cant accept the fact you don't want him!
