You must have one awesome Mom, because she raised such a loving young woman. I am going to give you a couple of suggestions: 1] at Walmart they have best friends braclets -one for you and one for her 2] a basket full of bathbeads, and crystals, and bubbles. go to the dollar tree or dollar world and buy the pretty scented ones and make her up a nice "end of a hard day" basket, if she likes candles they have so very pretty ones out now you can add 3] buy her a pretty nightgown and a pair of slippers 4] if she stands on her feet all day Walmart has a nice foot massager for around $15, they are cute in different kind of animals or they have one for the neck 5] dollar tree again...buy 2 beautiful plates, and bowls and glasses just for a Mother and daughter dinner, they will be when you need some "Mommy" time and her for when she needs some "Daughter" time. 6] a pretty Christmas ornament of a mother and daughter
Honey, there is no wrong gift especially when you choose it with as much love and thought you are giving this. You, yourself is the best gift a Mother can have. You keep saying thank you and telling her how you appreciate her, and her heart will always be happy.
God bless us all..........

As a mom of teens myself, I'd suggest something she can use while pursuing a hobby she likes, or fresh flowers -- maybe a small arrangement of greens, a candle and a couple of carnations?
Here's a take-off on that which you can make yourself: get an empty apothecary jar, one of those pretty, glass-lidded glass jars. You can probably get one cheap at a craft store or supermarket. Put several of her favorite candies or nuts inside, then put the lid back on, upside down. Now take a piece of florist's foam (that green stuff they use to position flowers) and fill the lid. Buy four to six carnations or roses, and buy or go look outside for a few pine twigs. Cut them down to maybe 4 inches tall, arrange them in the foam, and if you prefer, you may want to wrap the base of the foam with foil. Then tie a beautiful ribbon around the neck of the jar, and you're all set! Craft stores and sewing-fabric stores have an AMAZING variety of types of ribbon available, so you can be sure you'll find some in her fav color, or motif, or something nice and Christmasy. Like, say she loves cats, or boating, or running -- they have all kinds of decorative ribbon patterns! Then it's super-custom-made for her!
If you use cut fresh flowers, moisten the foam to keep them fresh. But you could even use good quality artificial flowers and twigs from the craft store and they won't wilt. You mom will also love it that you put this much effort but this little money into doing something nice for her!

Does she like coffee? If she does, what kind? Maybe you can get her a bag of special blended coffee from Dunkin Doughnuts or Starbucks. I know I love coffee in the morning.
What about a coffee mug? Or a specialized one?
Get pictures taken of you or of your siblings at Walmart and have it framed. Give it to her for Christmas as a gift...she'll love that!! Most packages are $5-10. And you get them before Christmas. Do you live near a Walmart?
I hope you can find that special gift for her. I have no daughters (only sons). I'm sure you'll find something. Good luck.

I think you should fix her a scrapbook of memories, find some pictures of the two of you, and/or get a disposable camera and take some pictures of you two now. You can get a miniature scrapbook at any Wal-mart. Do some cutting and decorating. You usually can find some stickers really cheap at wal-mart or any dollar store. I think she would absolutely love it. NOTE: You may want to make copies of the pictures, instead of using the originals. It may be a little more then $20.00 but if you look around, you should be able to stay in your budget.
You may want to think about just getting all the stuff, and if you both have time, do it together.

Bless your heart. I'm sure your mother could care less, even if you got her something, that was 5 dollars, it's always the thought that matters, not the value of the gift, but here are some suggestions and things that I like myself.
Scented candles
A beautiful painting
Nice picture frames
Perfume
House shoes
A nice robe
A nice pajama set
A nice quilt for her bed
Glasses (the ones you drink from)
Silverware
A coffee/cappuccino machine (if she drinks either one)
A nice bath room set
A big basket of her favorite fruits (some come made up already)
I hope iv'e been helpful.

Maybe you could give her a gift certificate to her favorite restaurant.....but with the stipulation that she must go with YOU to redeem it, so then it's not so impersonal...maybe you could throw in an afternoon of shopping or something too.
Oh one year I got my mom a bunch of foot stuff; creams, buffers and soaking salts and I even found a cheap foot spa (it was about 15 bucks at Walmart) and she LOVED it!

The only suggestion I might have is...maybe something she collects...I collect dolphines and MnM figures and my kids like to try and get me things like that.
Or maybe something like a poem. Write a poem and either print out on computer or handwrite it yourself and put it in a picture frame to give to her.
hope this helps..

My daughter made a slide show for her brother for his graduation. She made it off of the computer and put it on a disc, and it was the best present he received. Maybe you could do that for your mom. I'll bet that she would love and cherish it forever!!!
