Give him a couple bottles of champagne and a nice card..
On the card write...
Merry Christmas...I am yours for XX hours...Anything Goes...
Your every desire & fantasy...Have Fun....Love You.....
And ....
Live up to it...
And....
Brace yourself for a bumpy ride...

If you live somewhere cold, a muffler-type scarf is nice. It's useful, not too personal, and will remind him of you when he wears it.

You do not say how old both of you are, but if he has his own place there's usually lots of stuff guys don;t have that they could use.

I thought of the same question. Personally, saying that the CD comment was good if you knew what music was good for them. I'd try making chocolate myself, look for something they really like. If you ahve time, go do somethign special and you can pay for it. I don't know...my brother uses lots of cologne.. i mean it's his usual, but anyways...does that help?

It all depends on your relationship. how far do you want it to go?? Sometimes just a night out with small token of appreciation is sufficiant. you make it very hard to answer as you have not said much about him or seriousness of relationship. need to know what he is into. take him out on date to somewhere he enjoys.Tell him like it is he probably knows things are tight, so say best you can do right now is share something he likes.
