I've tried this several times in the political and science sections and gotten no answer that wasn't opinion. I am looking for real information, not urban legend or personal speculation. If there is real information out there why can't anyone provide it. I can understand that natural phenonom can be a contributing factor, but the effects such as glaciers and ice melting at a record pace in synch with record man-made pollution cannot be brushed off. If you have refuting evidence show it.

I don't think anyone can look at the evidence and deny global warming. What some people do deny is that human activity is major cause of our recent global warming. Since it's hard to make models that accurately predict how much human activity is responsible for recent global warming, it's an open question either way.

If anyone denies human activity is a major cause of global warming though, ask them how much CO2 we would have to pump into the atmosphere for it to have an effect. Since nobody can really answer that, it's probably better to take proactive measures concerning global warming,
since nobody I've known has denied the obvious fact that global warming is easier to prevent then undo.

Hey,

Well...I used to be a Scientist...I Recommend Reading Mister DiCaprio's Online Journal of Global Warming at:

org/

Also this Unique Film has their own Ideas on Global Warming:

"The Day After Tommorow"

My Own Personal Viewpoint as a Former Physicist...I Think Global Warming is not understood by Others like they Previously Thought...I actually do not understand "The Glaciers" Melting Part of Global Warming Myself...My Hypothesis is that Global Warming May Exist based on Something Extra Terresterial...Like Commets May have Landed in the Ice...I think it may also be something that "ManKind" Accidently Changed with The Ice...Some kind of New Chemical made in a Lab...that Chemists may know about...that is really unique...mixed with ice...and caused it to melt...That is all I can think of to help you...I hope you have a great day!! :) :)

Sincerely,
Erin young

The thing that makes it nothing but a lie is that blame CO2 for the increase. Well that would be very serious there increase of 30% in CO2. Go measure it ,it is not there . Do u member about plants and photosynthesis that u studied in high school. The plants recycle our air system by taking the CO2 out and giving us back oxygen,so the CO2 is not there. If the CO2 is not there then global warming is not there. The methane is not there either go measure it. Some people are calculating that the world is ending tomorrow ,but there math doesn't add up.

The two best sites are given as references. No scientist I know refutes that global warming exists (even the Anti-Al Gores like me). The questions are how much and is it measurable, what causes it, can we do anything about it if we needed, and do we bankrupt countries to do something that probably will not work.

The "refuting evidence" is easy. It's called statistics. There hasn't been enough data collected to form a valid statistical pool from which to draw any reasonable conclusion.

But then again, how many people bothered to take statistics in college and remember anything from it?

And there is a site that addresses your point. I visited it several weeks ago, but tossed the e-mail it came to me from. I wouldn't think it would be too hard to find, though.
