It's easy to say "a book of lies," but lets "decipher the code" a bit, if you will. This book began it's journey over 300 years after....(AFTER) Jesus supposedly died. One thousand, seven hundred years ago people. Now lets jump ahead to the year 1700 and we start a real beginning of newspapers and then magazines, newsletters so on and so forth until we come to cameras taking pictures and finally video. Do you realize that we cannot even get OUR OWN american history 100% accurate and we've even had camera's and video most of our U.S. life!! In other words, by written/documented word and picture/video we can't even keep our last 300 years in line with what really happened. Not 100%. Now lets consider that the bible started being written 300 years after-the-fact, then transcribed over 18 times from different languages finally to ours. In the end you find a convaluded document that is nothing more than fairy tales and lies to keep the masses afraid & in control. It's time to awaken people.....DO IT NOW before THEY cause revelations to actually occur without any "god" doing the work. Please, I beg of you. ... ((paid for by the committee to promote reality)) love, Jack

I think the message is inspired and right on. I think men have tinkered with the message however none of the areas of guidance have been changed. Some have perhaps been left out, and very likely for political reasons however due to the inherent inspiration with a little study none of the important truthes have been omited. I have read those documents purported to have been left out and see nothing added to what was left in. Some of the truthes one might have to ferret out were written in a more up front way in those other manuscripts but they are not very big things and they are in what we call the Bible today
it says the sun wstood still in the sky for a period and now people who study that science realize it did, so I would not say it was wrong about anything

Since the Bible is 100% inspired by Gods Holy Spirit it is 100% accurate whereas man has a track record of not only stretching ,bending distorting and breaking the truth I only trust God to be always right ps 83:18 gorbalizer

Alot of the bible is 100% accurate history, as proven by archaeology and research through other ancient documents. Alot is accurate science. Alot of it is people's diaries, for lack of a better term, accurate to the best of their abilities, but your diary and mine of the exact same event would differ slightly due to our viewpoints. Alot has been edited through 2000 years, hence the many 'versions' of the bible--King James being only one--someone has to approve the content. And countless books that were part of the bible were voted out by the church and burned. Some people were smart and brave enough to hide some of those voted out--hence the dead sea scrolls. And alot seems to be a very detailed family tree.

I think it started as a collection of fables and stories that have been pasted together to try to explain phenomenon that those people had no other way to explain.
Then in later years it was deliberately changed, or accidentally mis-translated, or both, maybe many times, until it came to its present form. It's full of contradictions, misogeny, and sometimes hatred. It's vague enough that people can read into it almost anything that they want to find. It has been used to justify slavery, wars, and murder.
It has also been a force of good in our society. Many churches and other organizations that follow its teaching have done a great deal to help their fellow people. I truly wish them well at it - they have an enormous task ahead of them.
If you believe that the bible is 100% accurate, how do you reconcile the discrepancies: Genesis 1:3-5 says the sun was created on the first day. Genesis 1:14-19 says it was on the 4th day, for example. Which is it? Go get your bible and check.

I believe it to be true in the "Original Manuscripts".There have been very few mistakes by the "copyists" and even then, nothing that changes doctrine.I can see from 25 years of study ,NO contradictions except what are taken way out of context.I can see NO contradiction with our historical records.Actually the Bible talked about things that weren't uncovered until the 1800s such as the Hittite and Assyrian Empires that were thought to be Mythological.I could go on "ad nauseum".

Man wrote the Bible... therefor it cannot be completely true. All throughout time man has lied, and change parts of the truth to better suit himself. Therefor all we can do is try to live our lives in the best manner and make choices based on what we know is right. If there is a heaven... then maybe we will have a shot in making it.

How many authors admit to their mistakes. the Bible was written by 40 different men over a period of 1600 years and yet is in perfect harmony from Genesis to Revelation. Many occurences where it looks to contradict itself, r shown to just be from a different viewpoint of the same occurence. The fact that it is the most popular book ever written and also the most misunderstood, only points to its authenticity.

Hi! Thank you for the polite question. I believe the original manuscripts were 100% accurate. I believe the manuscripts that many translations are based on are very very close to the originals.
The formation and history of the bible is a testimony in itself of the amazing power of the word of God.

Stretching the truth to go for God? Girl, use your sense. The Bible is THE WORD OF GOD. It is truth. 100%. If you do not believe it, that is on you. Believe what you will. There are plenty of people that do not believe. Just as there have ALWAYS been. Group yourself with them, and make peace with it.
