There is nothing wrong with having a shower. I think most people would assume that you got rid of all your baby things long ago. Beside friends and family like to have a reason to get together and this is a great reason (if I were your friend I would want to celebrate the upcoming arrival of your new baby with you!)

Why would you feel weird about this situation? I wouldn't feel weird being invited to something like that because you and your ex-husband divorced for a reason and the child should get a baby shower. If you didn't hold one just because it's from this marriage then it's not very fair is it?

If your friends want to throw you a party LET THEM!
(Also why do people think showers are only for the first child, or that showers are all about the presents? They aren't they are about celebrating a woman for bringing a new life into the world)

I would feel just fine with it.
SO many families are blended today and it's not an issue.
This baby is a new baby and it's wonderful to have a shower!
Congratulations on your new little one and ENJOY that shower!!!!

DO NOT short change your experiences with your first child with your hubby. YOU HAVE THAT SHOWER!!!! You have that shower and you act as if this is the first baby...in all actuality it is for you and hubby. You will regret it if you dont have one. Good Luck
