Quite impossible without Divine intervention, I would say.

It has survived all these years because of the believers. Those who think it is a farse can't change the mind of a believer, but a believer can change the mind of a non believer. As long as there are believers it will go on for eternity with or without the critics.

Things that believers "believe in" tend to survive :)

The Code of Hammurabi has been around longer than the bible. So has the Illiad and The Odyssey by Homer. Does that mean that there are really Cyclops and Zeus is a real god, like it says in Homer's books?

Just like the blood of Able cried out to God, I believe the Blood of the Martyrs for the WORD cries out to our Lord, and on this Sacred Blood we are reassured the WAY will go on untill the end of time. Notice on every continent at first there is lots of blood then there is martyrdom and then Christianity flourishes.

the Hindu Vedas have survived for over 5000 years and yet i don't
consider the stories therein to be anything other than myth. i have the same regard for the Bible tho i find the Hindu myths far more fun to read.

because people believe it. what is more outstanding is that the torah has survived for more than 6000 years despite everyone else trying to kill the jews off.

Good point. It's survived because God has promised to preserve His Word!

As if any of us thousands of years later can really say. It could be entirely fake down to every last detail and people would never know, they'd still believe it.
