It's not my personal favorite, but I think Food Network is considered the "best channel" just because there's really no controversy in it. It's JUST cooking... lots of great food is made, and it's really safe to show to guests. It's the one channel you can put on and have everyone go, "Hey, I love this show! Food Network's so great!"

It really depends on what type of channel you mean. There are lot's of different types. There are news channels, children's channels, movie channels, sitcom channels, major networks.
For news, my favourite channel is CNN, and sometimes FOX.
And for a major network, I usually watch NBC. I hardly ever watch CBS or ABC, although I do watch Desperate Housewives on ABC. Sometimes I also watch the CW, for Reba, but it's usually NBC I watch!
