What your mom is objecting to is the distance you want to travel to church. She is'nt against you practising your religion.Only that you do so,at a local church.35miles to go to church,is a bit far

Well, I don't know what you're being punished for, but depriving you of spiritual contact with the Lord in a community of believers is definitely a drastic step and way out of line. Let's both pray to the Holy Spirit that Mom softens and realizes what she's depriving you of. God be with you both.

I don't think that not going to church is a form of punishment. Letting your mom know what goes on and keeping her informed of your beliefs. She probably wants to be a little over protective. that's what she feels. Maybe you can show her that it doesn't matter where you go but that you find it easier serve and learn where you want to go.

wow God would really have to be in that church for you to drive 35 miles to go. tell her that you want her to go with you this time and see how that goes.

you certainly should be respectful and obedient to your mom. would she go with you? is there another church closer to your house? I hope you will pray for your mom and pray that God will give you wisdom and understanding....
